HOLLY — Members of the Holly Village Council have completed their back-to-school portraits, allowing residents to begin the new academic year knowing exactly what their elected officials would look like in a particularly ambitious senior yearbook.

The portraits appear on the Village’s official Council page, where residents can review each member’s photograph, committee assignments and the year they are expected to graduate from local government.

The Village has been changing Council photos monthly, gradually transforming the municipal website from a source of public information into a government page with a seasonal creative director.

September’s back-to-school theme includes the traditional elements of school portraiture, provided the school hired a glamour photographer with access to lasers.

Yearbooks are expected to go on sale later this month, with plenty of room for constituents to sign their elected officials’ pages with traditional messages like “Thanks for serving!” and “I’ll be submitting a FOIA request soon!”

The yearbook will also include senior quotes, provided they can be delivered within the allotted three minutes for public comment. A superlatives section is reportedly planned, with “Most Likely To Table This Until Next Meeting” expected to be highly competitive.

October’s theme has not yet been announced, though several variations on “Sexy Government Official” appear increasingly likely.
