HOLLY — In the lead-up to Holly’s annual Witches Night Out, downtown merchants announced another addition to the community’s growing calendar of themed events: the village’s first Juggalo Night.
The event continues Holly’s successful practice of assigning individual evenings to increasingly specific groups of people willing to shop after 5 p.m.
Juggalo Night will follow the familiar downtown format used for Witches Night Out and Mischief & Magic. Businesses will remain open late under a common theme while Battle Alley adopts a new cultural identity for the evening.
The Battle Alley Social District will remain open during the event. Existing rules requiring alcoholic drinks to stay within the district will remain unchanged, while Faygo currently faces no comparable restrictions.
Event materials will describe the early evening as family-friendly. A children’s science activity explaining how magnets work will begin at 6 p.m.
After 7 p.m., organizers will drop the qualifier and simply describe everyone as family.
Juggalo Night will conclude at 8:45 p.m. with a controlled Faygo Armageddon in Battle Alley. Downtown cleanup will begin immediately afterward.
If attendance is strong, merchants may expand the event into a full Dark Carnival weekend next year, allowing Holly to gradually recreate the Gathering of the Juggalos through the normal process of downtown economic development.
